Welcome to the Sawmill Tube & Canoe Livery Inc.
Since 1980 we have been providing fun-filled days for all ages on the Muskegon River in Big Rapids, Michigan. In fact National Geographic World has placed us in the top twelve best tubing locations in the Nation! Tens of thousands enjoy our service each summer.
We provide two tubing trips:
Our most popular trip begins at the Sawmill Canoe Livery and ends at a county park called Highbanks downriver. Our busses and vans will pick your group and equipment up at the park and return you to the Sawmill. If you were to stay in the water and float continuously, the trip would last approximately two hours; however, you may take as long as you’d like in case you want to swim or just stop along the way. The total price for this trip is $8.00 per tube. This price includes the tube rental and transportation. We also have tubes that will fit any size cooler for your food and beverages.
Our trip for the hardcore tubers is approximately six hours and begins upriver Paris Park Campground. Your group would come to the Sawmill Canoe Livery in Big Rapids and we will take your group to Paris Park, where you enter the Muskegon River and float downstream back to the Sawmill. If you are camping at Paris Park we can deliver tubes to your group at the Park. If your group needs a return ride back to your campsite, there is an additional charge for that service. All tubers for this trip must be in the water no later than 1:00 p.m. due to the length. This trip is not recommended for younger children due to the length.
Absolutely No Glass Or Styrofoam Is Allowed On The River!!!
